Short Term Strategic Communications Consultant (Fiji Nationals Only)
The Pacific Disability Forum (PDF) is the regional peak body representing Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) across the Pacific. PDF promotes disability rights, inclusion, and leadership through advocacy, capacity building, and partnerships.
Pacific Disability Forum seeks a Short Term Strategic Communications Consultant to support the organisation’s visibility, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. The consultant will assist the CEO and Communications Team in developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives aligned with PDF’s regional priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a short term communications plan.
• Manage social media content and visibility.
• Draft press releases, success stories, and advocacy materials.
• Support communications for Pre COP, COP31, CRPD 20th Anniversary, and 16 Days of Disability Activism.
• Strengthen PDF’s branding and messaging consistency.
Qualifications
• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategic communications.
• Strong writing, editing, and social media management skills.
• Experience with disability rights or climate advocacy (desirable).

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging whiteboard animations to support Strategic Plan communication
• Edit video content for accessibility and advocacy campaigns
• Integrate captions, audio descriptions, and inclusive design features
• Collaborate with the Communications Team to ensure consistency across platforms
Qualifications:
• Diploma/Degree in Multimedia, Video Production, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in video editing and animation
• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards for video content
Location: Fiji Nationals Only.
